As part of that service we have made it a priority to provide education and training to go along with your choice of firearm ownership. All training courses come under the direct supervision of the Lead Instructor – Joel Leanda. Joel has served in the United States Armed Forces for 23 years. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is currently serving on active duty in the United States Army.
Joel has acquired 13 years of firearms training experience. He also has an extensive background in Filipino and traditional Japanese Martial Arts. Joel’s background in martial arts allowed him to train military personnel in its practical application and effectiveness in combat. Joel has also taught martial arts instructors and students in defensive handgun training. Joel has trained military personnel, law enforcement officers, and law abiding citizens from all walks of life. He has trained military personnel on M.O.U.T. (Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain), crew serve weapons (machine guns), carbine and handguns; prior to deployment, in support of military operations. Joel is a certified NRA instructor; California Handgun Safety Certified Instructor; Utah Concealed Firearms Instructot; Glock certified armorer; AR-15 certified armorer by Armalite;FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certified instructor.
Through years of research and experience, Joel developed P.A.D. (Preparedness, Awareness and Decisiveness), the core of our training concept. Joel likes to remove his students from the “range and competition mentality” and “old school” training concepts. And while many instruction techniques exist, Joel uses a method that works for everyone. |
